The use of predominantly natural rubber, which is partly made from rubber tree latex (sometimes called "rubber tree"), is very flexible and stable in all weathers. Neoprene, which is often used as a lining for rubber products, is a material that divers and swimmers are familiar with. It is highly insulating and provides effective protection from the cold. EVA, widely used in the world of sports shoes, is a low density material, and so is very light and very elastic, which allows it to absorb impacts. And SEBS combines good flexibility and very light weight. Also used in the manufacture of car tyres, it has the advantage of having significant gripping properties, making it particularly suitable for use on wet ground or even on snow.
