The different types of plastic we use at Blackfox
Blackfox offers two types of plastic materials for its boots. First, there is PVC, which is the third most used plastic in the world. Very rigid and sturdy, it can be used to make extremely durable boots. The second plastic material used by Blackfox is EVA. This plastic material is known for its lightness. It can be made into quite comfortable lightweight boots.
PVC plastic boots
Blackfox PVC is 57% salt and 43% petroleum. The PVC boots available at Blackfox are environmentally friendly. They are 100% recyclable. They can be both rigid or very flexible and slip-resistant. They are highly resistant to water, abrasion and UV. Our PVC plastic boots are not only strong and durable, but also very economical.
EVA plastic boots
EVA or Ethylene Vinyl Acetate is a plastic material derived from the olefin family. We use it for the design of some of our boots. Our EVA boots are exceptionally light. They are quite flexible and fit the shape of your feet well. They are shock-absorbent even at low temperatures.
Maintenance of plastic boots
Caring for plastic boots, regardless of type, is done in much the same way. Here are two tips to help you preserve your plastic boots.
Tip N°1
After removing your boots, it is advisable to wash them with clean water and soap. You can use a brush to clean them properly. Do not use too much force on the brush to avoid damaging the boots.
Tip N°2
After washing, you can leave the boots to air dry by standing them upright for quick drying. Boots should not be stored near a heat source as this will affect their quality.
